1. How to register your nick
Only un-registered nicks may be registered by you. To select a nick, type /nick YourNick. Choose the nick you with to register and perform the following command:

/nickserv register password email@address
Example:

/nickserv register johnsmith80 This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it _local_isp.com
johnsmith80, as shown in the example above, would be the password of that nick you are currently using.

Choose your passwords carefully and make sure you always remember it. Do not share your password with anyone since it might end up by someone stealing your nick.
