mIRC is a very good chat client and also widely used in WindowsOS.
It comes with a GUI (Grafical User Interface). One of the nice features of this Client is that you can easily create your own script in few minutes to do whatever you (or the guy that made the script) would like, in this case for the scrips written by others that you found in the World Wide Web you should be secure what you choose, you don't want your computer to work in background and do something you don't want, would you? (always remember security should be always present).
mIRC is available only in a shareware license, which means you can only use it for a small amount of time, after that you are supposed to pay the money to the programmers that made it.
And if you like it so much why not?? (Although, 99% of the people that use mIRC do not pay and continue using it.)
