Do you need to be assisted by an IRC Operator?

Summary

3. Where can you find them?

Once you’re sure that what you should be looking for is IRCOp assistance, or been directed to get help from one, your next step should be finding one. But how?

1. #OperHelp: This is where you may find the assistance you’re looking for and should be your first stop. Once you join the channel, you’ll see that the channel is set to +m(moderated) mode, which will not allow you to speak in the channel unless you’re an operator(@) or voiced(+v) user. You should wait to get voiced by an operator to ask your question, be patient.
This system is developed to maintain a better environment, personal help, for our users. IRCOperators in the channel, are opped. They should be the “only” ones you should be asking for help in the channel. Messaging the operators, join-parting the channel exceedingly may end up getting your removal from the channel.

What if there are no ops in #OperHelp , and you’re looking for urgent help? In this case, you should wait patiently in the channel(as soon as an IRC Operator joins the channel, you’d be taken care of), OR:

2. Use /stats p to see helpful(+h) moded IRC Operators on the current server you’re connected to, and their inactive/idle time. Forexample; if you were connected to pakistan.worldusers.net, and issue /stats p, you would get a list of IRCOps that have +h user mode set, and available to help you.

3.
Use /stats p servername to see IRC Operators on the specified server which are also helpful moded. You may use this command with a wilcard or full server name. To example:

/stats p england.ircfuture.net
/stats p england.*
