Summary

2. Do you need to be assisted by an IRC Operator?

Once you need help, you should not directly message IRCOps and start questioning them. The prior option is to determine what you need help with. Do you need help with IRCFutureNet services(ie, NickServ, ChanServ, MemoServ..)? Is your script not working or alerting in a way that you can’t define? Do you have a problem with your Internet Explorer or such programs? Did you catch a virus?

None of the above are necessarily the responsibility of an IRC Operator. Remember, their existance is to run the server smoothly for users like you, to chat comfortably.

There are channels on WorldUsers Net such as following to assist you on your specific problem:

#Help = Official WorldUsers help channel.
#arabhelp= Official WorldUsers Arabic help channel.

These channels have knowledgable staff members which are there to help you out. If the subject you wish to get helped with is not listed here, you may always go to #Help and be directed to the help channel that suits your needs, or you can /list *subject* to see channels created on that basis.

So, in what situations should you seek for IRCOp assistance? Most are, but not limited to:

• Reporting an abusive user. Such abuses include, trojan spreading, spamming, cloning, harassment, ban/akill evading, impersonation.
• Looking for assistance about your stolen nickname/channel.
• Having an inquiry about your frozen nickname/channel or closed channel.
• If you think someone is exploting your machine and abusing the server with it, which caused your removal from the network.
